United States/Canada...A Complicated Friendship

with Hal Hannaford

Calendar Feb 1, 2022 at 2 pm, runs for 3 weeks

Friendships are complicated, and the intense and important friendship between Canada and the United States is no different. This three session course will examine the history of this friendship, and how it evolved into the closest relationship between any two countries on the globe. We will examine the political, economic, cultural, sociai, and philosophical differences with the hope of gaining a better understanding of how we can learn from each other. If this friendship is going to be maintained, we need to have a greater appreciation of each other. There is so much to gain from a true understanding of our perspective strengths and weaknesses. How can two countries be so close yet so different?

Class days: Tuesday 2/1, 2/8, 2/15  2-4 pm
