Watercolors

Calendar Nov 2, 2022 at 9:30 am, runs for 4 weeks

Students will learn and practice watercolor techniques by painting four subjects designed to present a variety of painting challenges including a landscape, a seascape, a seasonal still life, and a variety of designs suitable for a greeting card or note card. This course is intended for persons with little or no previous art experience. Both new and returning students are welcome. $ 5.00 material fee payable to the instructor. Watercolor paper will be provided for each project.

Your Instructor:

Judy Gaudet has enjoyed painting, especially watercolors, for many years. She has studied art at Mass. College of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, and U.C. San Diego as well as with several private instructors.

 

Wednesdays: 9:30 to 11:30

York Region Chamber of Commerce Directions:

Take I-95 North or South in Maine to Exit 7 (York exit). Follow the Spur Road to the stop light straight ahead. The Chamber is located at the head of Spur Road.

Christmas Flower Arranging

Calendar Dec 15, 2022 at 1 pm

Join Dianne in making a Christmas floral arrangement for your home. Each participant will make their own arrangement and learn many simple secrets of flower arranging. Cost of class materials is $15.00. Diane will collect payment  the day of class.

For over 40 years, Dianne (FLOWERS BY DI) has been creating floral arrangements as well as designing and maintaining gardens. She is a member of the Seacoast Garden Club where she is co-chair of programming and assists with maintaining the monument and community garden in Kennebunkport. She is also the lead volunteer, maintaining the gardens at St Ann's Episcopal Church. Dianne is a member of the National Garden Conservancy.

 

This class will be held at York Region Chamber of Commerce.
